Prosecco with a Splash of OJ: Isabella's in UWS

Bread Pudding French Toast

I love wandering the city and I love brunch. So it's always a nice surprise to stumble upon a delicious find when not searching for anything in particular.

Sitting on the corner across from the American Museum of Natural History, Isabella's sidewalk seating is typically overflowing in the summer but now offers a bright, sunshine filled escape from the snow.

Isabella's brunch offers simple sweet & savory options with Mediterranean undertones. It's great to see updates to everyone's favorites, such as Filet Mignon Benedict and Shrimp & Avocado Toast.

Leave your carb-free diet at home because they start you off with the most mouth watering bread basket EVER! I'm normally pretty good at skipping the bread basket to save room for the good stuff but it's impossible to do so at Isabella's. Homemade strawberry butter creme... that's all I need to say.

I opted for the Bread Pudding French Toast w caramelized Granny Smith apples & pecans but I immediately regretted it because as delicious as it was, I couldn't handle fried cake after the basket of sweet breads. Poor call on my part, I know better than that. Perhaps next time the Smoked Salmon Patter.

Sunday is prime time to check Isabella's out as you receive a complimentary drink of your choice. Yaaaaassssss, who doesn't love a free Bloody Mary to kick off Sunday Funday? They also have a great mimosa service that encourages you to trade in the traditional OJ for Cranberry or Grapefruit. Drink up before the weekend's up!
